This involves noting which teeth needing correction as well as determining the length of treatment and frequency of follow ups. For most adults, treatment will take approximately one year. After developing your treatment strategy, we then design a series of custom fitted retainers. The retainers are designed with BPA-free plastic and are built so you feel comfortable throughout the day. You should remove your retainers when you eat, brush, or floss. Caring for your retainers is a simple process and we will provide you with a kit as well as instructions on how to do so.
Over the course of your treatment, we will provide you with a new retainer approximately every two weeks, depending on your specific plan.
